Now my little Blue Bird of Happiness is my own design and she's all wool. She's sitting on a vintage egg cup. I also made that little yellow peep. I've been spending hours on the computer searching for needle felting to learn as much as I can. There are many exceptional artists doing needle felting and many are willing to share their knowledge.

A New Project Needle Felting
Hi Everyone, It's been awhile since I've posted but it's Pink Saturday so here is a little PINK I've just needle felted. I had never heard of needle felting until recently while visiting in blogland and seeing some wonderful needle felted sculptures. Last week I received my first kit from Lowell Country Designs of a Polar Bear. My bear is a little different from the kit (it's all white) and I put a pink scarf around her neck. I've never done any doll or bear making and this was fun.

I ♥ your felting! Are you telling me that you can learn to do this at home? If that's the case...then I'm IN! No one in my neck of the woods teaches it. Check out YouTube. I DO know there are some videos out there of expert felters who have uploaded some instructions for small items.
ReplyDeleteFor a first time felter, you are GREAT. Happy Easter and Happy Pink Saturday and Happy Felting!
