Me A Queen?

In the mail this week came this pretty envelope addressed to Queen Esther! I love getting mail and this is so special!  It came all the way from Everett Washington that must be about 2000 miles from Jacqueline.  Now I wasn't really sure who Jacqueline was but I decided right then she must be a friend to take the time to send real mail and not just email!

I opened the envelope and inside was this sweet card

and hand written message

saying I was a Queen in Training

now I remember Once Upon a Fairyland

Also included this cute tag

and the only Valentine I received this year!!

  Thank you, thank you, thank you Jacqueline ...

you sure made me smile all week!

I don't speak Italian just found this with Google.  Well we all know we can find the answer to anything with Google! Here are a few "love" words in Italian. Go to this site and hear each word spoken in Italian..and surprise your lover or husband!

Here's another little tidbit about Valentine's Day:

The United States Post Office in Loveland, Colorado, USA, creates a special and one-of-a-kind cancellation stamp every year in order to celebrate Valentine's Day and the romantic name of Loveland, Colorado. The Post Office is now averaging greater than 300,000 Valentines remailed annually including 104 foreign countries and all 50 United States. The cancellation stamp sample shown here is from 1995.

"D" is for Dirt & a Vintage Thingie

It's Alphabe-Thursday over at Jenny's blog  and todays letter is "D".  I looked all through my photos and could have picked dog, donut, dumb, daughter..just about any "D" word

 but I found this photo and knew it had to be dirt!!

Oh my this is my sweet husband and it looks like he got mixed up in a coal bin!

Isn't he good looking! He would not be too happy if he knew I put this on my blog!

I think this would work for Vintage Thingie Thursday at Suzanne's - Colorado Lady he is rather old vintage!

PINK Saturday is here again! This is a watercolor of PINK roses that I purchased at a garage sale for only $5.00 with the frame! I think it is beautiful!
