PINK Saturday

It's been awhile since I've posted anything and it just kept getting harder to post. I even thought about not blogging any more. Well a PINK Saturday post just seems what I need to get started again! First let me wish everyone a Happy New Year! This is my mantle decorated for Christmas.  I know Christmas is way over but there is some pretty pink here.

I just love the handpainted rose floral plate in the center.

This little snow angel is the last needle felting I've done.

I'm MIA for a few week and they go and change how to do post here on blogger!

Just a reminder to stop over at Bev's blog How Sweet the Sound and visit other PINK participants. Wish everyone a wonderful PINK weekend!

Warm hugs,

PINK Needle Felted Angel

Happy PINK Saturday!

Just finished needle felting this sweet PINK Angel. She is on her way to a new home in Canada! Hope her new owner loves her as much as I do!! She's holding a bouquet of vintage glass balls and has a halo of twisted wire other than that she's all needle felted with wool.

There are lots of participant over at Bev's at How Sweet the Sound don't foreget to visit them also.

Warm hugs,

PINK Saturday 6/6

A few weeks ago I took my sister Cheri out to lunch for her birthday and then we did a little shopping. What else do you do after lunch!
And I found this cute pink bench.

And thought it would be perfect for some of my needle felted critters.

This bear was my first needle felting project.

Here's a snowman all decked out in Pittsburgh Steeler / Penguin colors!

This robin kinda looks cute on the bench.

These lambs look sweet on a pink bench.

And here is Hildie the country mouse...she's going to the Mouse Ball.

There are still many more felt critters hanging around the house and they are multiplying! Do you think I should try to sell them? How do you decide how much to charge? I've never sold anything I've made...maybe I should just buy more benches!

Don't forget to visit Beverly's blog How Sweet the Sound and see the list of everyone participating in PINK Saturday.

Warm wishes,

Happy Easter

This has been a very stressful week but things have gotten better now so I decided to share. Last weekend my husband started to have some heart problems call a fibrillation he's had this before so he was sure he could get his heart beating correctly without going to the MD. So we (I) had 4 days of hell while he did all his home therapies. When I woke up on Wednesday he finally said he was ready to go to the emergency room and he has been in the hospital since then. They ran all kinds of test and we found out that his heart is only pumping at 20% which is very scary. They figure he had a fibrillation for a long time without knowing it and it caused damage to his heart. What makes me so angry is the fact that he has not been to the doctor since 1995 and my saying he should go to get regular check ups did not good...maybe the damage to his heart could have been prevented with regular medical care. There I've said it and hopefully I can let go of this anger! I really don't understand men sometimes they think they are invincible but he must realize he's 69 now and must take care of himself. Well the good news is today his heart started beating normal! They started a new medication yesterday and it is working. If all goes well he should be home on Monday or Tuesday. The doctors hope that with continued treatment his heart will improve.

So while I've been visiting with him in the hospital I've done some more needle felting. These are some gift for my sister and sister-in-law for Easter. Don't they all have cute Easter bonnets.

I'm sending everyone very warm wishes for a Happy Easter!

A New Project Needle Felting

Hi Everyone, It's been awhile since I've posted but it's Pink Saturday so here is a little PINK I've just needle felted. I had never heard of needle felting until recently while visiting in blogland and seeing some wonderful needle felted sculptures. Last week I received my first kit from Lowell Country Designs of a Polar Bear. My bear is a little different from the kit (it's all white) and I put a pink scarf around her neck. I've never done any doll or bear making and this was fun.

Now my little Blue Bird of Happiness is my own design and she's all wool. She's sitting on a vintage egg cup. I also made that little yellow peep. I've been spending hours on the computer searching for needle felting to learn as much as I can. There are many exceptional artists doing needle felting and many are willing to share their knowledge.

Thanks for visiting today and please let me know what you think of my needle felting projects.
