Child-Like Excitement!

While driving along one Saturday afternoon my husband and I came upon this delightful little animal display.

I was really excited and felt like a kid!

What is it about animals that make us so happy?

This was in the yard at a nursing home I guess they brought the animals in to for the patients to see.

It seems to me that it is the simple joys in life that make us the happiest!

Pumpkin Carving

Today I saw some photos of the most amazing carved pumpkins! So after a little research the web site of Ray Villafane was found.  These are some photos from his site.

I think they are simply wonderful and wanted to share with all of you.  If you want to see more of his work go here .

OMG What Was I Thinking??

It all started with my delight when I saw this beauty on My Little Home and Garden blog.  I have never seen this plant or heard of it before "Kiss Me Over The Garden Gate"...well the internet search began

and I ended up with all of these!!

Oh yes these came in the mail yesterday and then I thought what the heck (I used another word) was I thinking. I've never started flowers from seeds before but guess I have until Feb-March to figure it out.

Kiss Me Over the Garden Gate is called Polygonum Orientale and it's right there with the other seeds sure hope it is as beautiful as the photo.
